Start and Exit the Program

Start the Program

You can launch DriverMaintenance in one of two ways.

Double-click the DriverMaintenance icon gs4 on the desktop.


 From the Start menu, select All Programs -> DriverMaintenance -> DriverMaintenance.


Exit the Program

You can exit DriverMaintenance in one of two ways.

Click the close button gs5  located at the top-right of the Main window.


Right-click the DriverMaintenance icon in the Taskbar and click Exit.

When you launch DriverMaintenance the Overview window appears.

The Overview is made up of three tabs: Driver Status, Device List, and System.


The Overview -> DRIVER STATUS Tab

The Driver Status tab displays the results of the driver scanyou initialized using DriverMaintenance.

The flow is simple:

  • Click Start Scan.
  • Wait for the scan to go over your PC, detect outdated drivers, and make driver update recommendations.
  • The Overview tab will automatically be updated with the results of the scan.
  • Click Download All to download and update your drivers.



The Overview -> DEVICE LIST Tab

The Device List tab displays a complete inventory of all the devices currently installed or connected on your computer.

Click the plus sign plus to expand a device category and see the devices under it.

If you click on a specific device, detailed information about it will be displayed on the panel below.

Click the minus sign minusto close or collapse the device category.


Tip: If you scroll down to the bottom of the list, you’ll see the Unplugged Devices section.

Note : An “unplugged device” is any type of plug-and-play device that is currently not attached to your computer. These include digital cameras, MP3 players, USB drives, webcams, and others


The Overview -> SYSTEM Tab

The System tab displays information about your computer.

This is just to let you know that DriverMaintenance has properly detected and identified your system, enabling it to provide you with driver update recommendations specific to your PC.



 Minimize and Maximize the Program

To minimize the program, click the minus button gs6 located at the top-right of the Main window.

To maximize the program, simply click the DriverMaintenance Taskbar icon gs7 or right-click the Taskbar icon and then select Restore.
